About the Author
Sue Miller is a teacher, leader, speaker, and author with a passion for bringing out the best in volunteers. Much of that passion developed over the 17 years she served as Children's Ministry Director at Willow Creek Community Church near Chicago, Illinois. Her ongoing challenge was to figure out how to recruit, grow, and keep a fantastic team of volunteers that could influence the faith of the 3,000 kids that attended each weekend. She also served on the senior management team under the leadership of pastor Bill Hybels, a champion of volunteerism.
In 2005, Sue joined Orange, a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to influence those who influence the next generation. These days she thinks Orange from head to toe when it comes to church strategy.
Sue is the author of several books, including Parenting Is Wonder-full and Making Your Children's Ministry the Best Hour of Every Kid's Week.
When not working, Sue lives with her handsome husband, Rick, in a fixer-upper house in Atlanta, Georgia. She does life with her two favorite adult kids, one amazing son-in-law, a mischievous black mini schnauzer and two of the most incredible grandsons on the planet.

Great beginners book on volunteerism
By Darrell M. Dunlap
Very easy reading which can be done in one sitting. Great story telling throughout. Great book to help get new volunteers to have a bigger picture of what volunteerism within the local church can and should be. A great beginners book, but much more applicable to the larger, mega church environment. The stories being told are definitely geared toward that small percentage of Christendom.
However, a great starter for any volunteer.

7 Quirks. 5 Stars.
By JDC
7 Quirks from 2 Great People. I'm biased that I know the authors and have seen the fruit of this book in their own leadership, but I'd whole heartily recommend this quirky book for your volunteers.
Do you struggle to communicate to your leaders at church? Then this book will give you weeks and weeks of content to push out to church volunteers as you lead them. Buy the book, read it, and then put it into the hands of your best leaders!

Must Read for those who Volunteer!
By ptbump
Sue and Adam have hit a grand slam with this book! As a leader they have said many things to volunteers that I haven't been able to say. They also give a leader great insights to the hearts of their volunteers! I love how they communicate some solid principles.
